Mushroom Walnut Burger Patties

There is nothing like homemade burgers – you know what’s in them.

250 g mushrooms – cut into small pieces and chop finely
1 onion – diced very finely
1 garlic clove – pressed
1 dried bun / 1 slice of toast – soak in water
1 egg
20 g walnuts – finely chopped
salt, pepper, cayenne pepper, parsley
2 – 3 tbsp Panko breadcrumbs (breadcrumbs made from bread crumbs) / breadcrumbs
Oil for baking

Fry the chopped mushrooms and onion well until the water from the mushrooms has evaporated
and put it in a bowl.
Add the softened, squeezed bun, garlic, walnuts, egg and spices to the mushroom mixture
and mix everything well. If necessary – if the mixture is too soft / malleable, add some breadcrumbs
in.

The mixture makes 2 large patties.

Mix and shape everything well.
Turn the patties in Panko breadcrumbs and bake in a pan with oil on each side for about 5-6 minutes until golden brown.

Top the burgers as desired.

We love tomato, lettuce, cucumber, onion, cheese slices and some mayo.
We still put the patty with the cheese on it in the oven for a short time – the cheese has to melt a bit.
But that is certainly a matter of taste.

So I only say – mmmhhhh..
