Vegetarian Breaded Maultaschen
6-8 pieces of vegetable Maultaschen
1-2 eggs
2-3 tablespoons flour
Breadcrumbs
salt, pepper, paprika powder
1/2 l vegetable stock
Rapeseed oil for frying
Simmer the Maultaschen in vegetable stock for about 15 minutes.
Drain and leave to cool slightly.
Now prepare 3 plates – 1 with flour, 1 with beaten egg with spices and one with breadcrumbs.
Dredge the cooled Maultaschen in the flour, egg and breadcrumbs in turn.
and fry in hot oil until golden brown.
Pat dry a little and arrange on a mixed salad.
I love to add a little garlic sauce (recipe here on the blog).
Note: The breading can of course also be made vegan. To do this, omit the egg
and add about 5-6 tbsp water to the flour until it has a creamy consistency. Add the spices and it’s ready. Then it is 2 plates for the breading.
