
Vegetarian pizza buns
Who doesn’t know and love them, the delicious pizza buns?
I just had to give them a place on my blog – they deserve it!!!
Add a delicious mixed salad and the guilty conscience can stay where it wants….
Vegetarian pizza buns
4 buns ( bought or also homemade – recipe here on the blog)
1 red onion – very finely diced
100 g mushrooms – very finely diced
1/2 red pepper – very finely diced
200 g sour cream / vegan alternative
1-2 tbsp tomato paste
Dash of milk / Vegan alternative
Salt, pepper, oregano, basil,
paprika powder, cayenne pepper,
Optional chilli
150 g grated Emmental / Vegan alternative
Cut the buns in half, hollow them out and place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
Mix the sour cream with tomato paste, a little milk and about 50 g cheese and season well.
Fold the vegetables into this mixture and spread on the bun halves.
Sprinkle with the remaining cheese and bake in a hot oven at 200°C top/bottom heat for about
for about 15 minutes. The cheese should already be browned and melted.
These delicious buns taste great both warm and cold….
